The Olympic distance is a classic full-day test. A 1.5-kilometer ocean swim off Crystal Cove State Beach, a fast 40-kilometer bike out and back along Pacific Coast Highway with roughly 664 ft of rolling elevation, and a scenic 10-kilometer run on coastal trails finishing inside the state park.

The Olympic Duathlon is the same coastal experience without the open-water swim. A 1-mile run-out kicks things off, followed by the full 40-kilometer Olympic bike course on PCH and a 10-kilometer run to the finish. Ideal for athletes who want big-day distance without saltwater.

5K Beach & Trail Run Course
Want in on race day without the full triathlon? The 5K Beach & Trail Run shares the same scenic 3-mile coastal course as the Sprint Triathlon run leg — perfect for the family member, training partner, or first-timer who wants to be part of the day. Same finish line. Same medal moment.
